Santa Rosa Beach public Beach Access

Classic, coastal, comfort — these words just about sum up Miramar Beach. This laidback beach town is a little slice of paradise. It has that nostalgic, beachy atmosphere yet all the modern amenities you could need or want.

Think this might be the place for your next vacation? Here’s all the info about where to go and what to do, as well as a couple of Miramar Beach rentals that you could call your home away from home.

Best Restaurants in Miramar Beach

With eateries so good they bring in people from out of town, it’s hard to decide what the best restaurants in Miramar Beach are. Here are a few standout locations!

Pompano Joe’s

In Miramar Beach, there’s a seafood restaurant at every turn and practically every one is worth a visit. Pompano Joe’s, however, is one of the most popular!

This casual restaurant serves southern seafood staples with a Caribbean flair. It’s located right on the beach, making it the perfect place to kick back and enjoy some seafood and tropical cocktails!

Vin’tij

Vin’tij is an interesting eatery; it’s got an eclectic menu full of unique and delicious dishes. For example, they serve an Oyster BLT! Many of their items are quite healthy and the portions are generous.

What makes Vin’tij really special though, are the exquisite wines they serve. When you’re done with your meal, stop by their boutique to pick up a bottle or two of their fine selections!

Fat Clemenza’s

Fat Clemenza’s is a family-friendly restaurant that serves authentic, homestyle Italian food. Their signature offerings are their wood-fired pizza and calzones, though the homemade garlic rolls are a local favorite, too.

They also have daily specials in rotation, so you might want to visit more than once. You’ll probably want to anyway after your first stop, since this is arguably one of the best restaurants in Miramar Beach!

Get Out Onto the Water (in Lots of Different Ways)

Just one look at the Gulf and you know that the best things to do in Miramar Beach must involve the water.

There are also many companies for booking tours and activities, with Miramar Beach Parasailing and Gilligan’s Watersports being great options nearby.

Go on a Shopping Spree for Some Retail Therapy

In Miramar Beach, shopping might as well be a sport! The town is filled with shopping opportunities and great deals.

Events in Miramar Beach

Miramar Beach often gets lumped in together with the nearby city of Destin but it’s a lively town in its own right! There are many events in Miramar Beach each year, with the following three being just a few of the highlights.

Baytowne Mardi Gras Parade & Street Pardi (February)

Sandestin, a sprawling resort so big it might as well be a town, is home to many of the best events in Miramar Beach. The town center, The Village of Baytowne Wharf, is where all the action happens.

The Baytowne Mardi Gras Parade is one of many events held here but it’s one of the most electrifying. The fun doesn’t end there, though. A couple of days later, the Baytowne Mardi Gras Street Pardi takes the excitement and partying all the way through the night!

Moon Crush (April)

Moon Crush is one of the Emerald Coast’s most anticipated music festivals each year. More of a “music vacation,” this festival puts a heavy emphasis on the experience and the people you choose to have it with.

Top singers and bands across all genres gather for a four-day extravaganza every April in Miramar Beach. There’ll be country, rock, indie, pop, and more!

Baytowne Countdown (December)

Miramar Beach makes a great vacation destination for the holidays, with the Baytowne Countdown being the premier end-of-year celebration in town!

The event starts at 6 pm with live music and tons of kids’ activities, leading up to the first fireworks show at 8 pm.

There’s more live music and partying until (and even after) the second, out-of-this-world fireworks display at midnight!
